Terms of Use
These terms apply to Jersey Roof Project Match, a project-intake and referral service operated by Modern Home Construction LLC, doing business as Modern Home Roofing & Chimney.
Planning information, not an inspection
The online roof check provides general planning guidance from the answers you select. It is not a roof inspection, engineering opinion, code determination, insurance assessment, warranty decision, or guarantee that a problem has been identified.
Requests and appointments
Sending a request does not create an appointment, construction contract, price, warranty, or obligation to hire. Availability and project fit must be confirmed directly. Any actual work must be governed by a separate written agreement with the contractor performing it.
Modern Home and referral contractors
Modern Home reviews requests first and may offer its own services. If Modern Home cannot accept a project, we may—with your permission—introduce one independent contractor. A referral contractor is not an employee or agent of Modern Home and is independently responsible for credentials, insurance, estimates, contracts, workmanship, safety, warranties, taxes, and legal compliance.
Your responsibility before hiring
You should verify the contractor’s current New Jersey home-improvement registration, insurance, references, written scope, price, payment schedule, permit responsibility, manufacturer requirements, and warranties before authorizing work.
Emergencies and hazardous conditions
The website is not an emergency-dispatch service. Do not enter a roof, attic, flooded area, unstable area, or any location near live electrical equipment based on website information. For an immediate threat to people or property, leave the affected area and contact emergency services, the appropriate utility, or another qualified emergency provider.
Website availability and accuracy
We try to keep the information useful and current, but we do not promise uninterrupted access or that every statement will apply to every home. Roof conditions, municipal requirements, material availability, and contractor availability vary.
Acceptable use
Do not submit false information, impersonate another person, interfere with the website, attempt unauthorized access, or use the service for spam, scraping, or unlawful activity.
Changes
We may update these terms as the service changes. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
